H.E. Arturo Fermandois
Chilean Ambassador to the United States

Mr. Fermandois has a law degree from the Universidad Catolica in Santiago, and a Master’s Degree from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, with a Fulbright scholarship.  He has been Professor of Constitutional Law, and Advanced Constitutional Law at the Universidad Catolica, visiting scholar at Harvard Law School, counsel and Secretary of the Board of Banco del Estado de Chile, a member of the U.S. – Chile Free Trade Agreement negotiating team at the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and founder and partner at the Chilean law firm of Fernandois, Evans y Cia.  He has authored several books and numerous articles, primarily about constitutional law.
