Chilean Tax Issues: Tax reform in Chile, and also the U.S Chile income tax treaty.
Ms. Liselott Kana is Head of the International Tax Legislation Department of the Revenue Administration, in the Ministry of Finance of Chile. She negotiated for Chile the Chile-US Income Tax Treaty, and has negotiated all of the other 26 Chilean income tax treaties.
Ms. Kana is a member of the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters, and is the Coordinator of the Subcommittee on Services of that Committee.
Ms. Kana has been a key participant in the OECD's Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) project to reform the international tax system, including revising the OECD model income tax treaty. She has a Law Degree from Stockholm University and a Masters Degree from the London School of Economics.
